After a up and down 2015 which led to the Warriors losing out to Leeds Rhinos to both the league leaders shield and the grand final and crashing out the challenge cup to Hull KR in dramatic fashion.
The Warriors are out to right the wrongs of the previous year and 2016 is the perfect year to launch an assault on regaining the Super League Trophy which they last won in 2013. Many would not bet against them led by an enthusiastic and demanding coach the Warriors are the favourites for a clean sweep this year just like the Rhinos did last year.
Young player of the year George Williams will be one to keep an eye on again after a stellar 2015 which he amassed 6 tries and 21 try assists add the calming influence of his half back partner Smith and the influential captain Sean O’Loughlin and the return of the mercurial Sam Tomkins the warriors fans have reasons to be excited in 2016
One to Watch this year will be Dom Manfredi the leigh born flyer took super league by storm in 2015 scoring a try almost every game and done something most wingers fail to do outjumping Ryan Hall in a grand final outlines his potential as a natural finisher and dangerous in the air not many will back against him finishing as top try scorer in 2016.
Finally before I go onto my summary the warriors pack is the same as last year john Bateman and Liam Farrell will be hoping to build on a good 2015 while props Tony Clubb (who never has a bad game) and Ben Flower who never put a foot wrong in 2015 when he returned, will both be again leading from the front while the hard as nails Michael Mcilorum will continue going under the radar as 1 of the most underrated hookers in super league.
Add all this up and you would not back against the warriors becoming super league champions come 8th October.
