Is a second Burgess seriously on his way to Super League?
South Sydney are set to offload Tom Burgess as part of a radical overhaul of their under-performing roster. The English prop is said to have raised interest from several English clubs. Despite his brother Sam denying the claims, we understand that up to 4 sides are interested in landing Burgess’ signature including the Leigh Centurions who aim to be in Super League next year, and the Leeds Rhinos who will be looking to reinvent themselves as a driving force next year after a poor season in 2016.
Catalans are also said to have enquired about Burgess, but could the 24 year old join his older brother Luke at Salford in 2017? The Devils would have to make room on their cap but it’s a possibility that 2 of the brothers may want to reunite.
