Here we are again it’s time for round 3 of this year’s Super 8’s and this week the Castleford Tigers face the Warrington Wolves at the Haliwell Jones Stadium. The question is can Castleford make it 3 victories out of 3 in the Super 8’s.
The Castleford Tigers will be looking to get 3 victories out of 3 this Saturday when they face the Warrington Wolves , in the last round the Tigers managed to pull off a shock victory against Shaun Wane’s Wigan Warriors coming out 36-22 winners. The victory against the Warriors shows the other teams in the Super 8’s that they are not to be messed with and that they could one day be title contenders. Warrington however have lost 1 game and won 1 game so far in the Super 8’s stage the win coming against Wakefield Wildcats 38 -10 , Warrington will perhaps be putting a weaker team out as next weekend they are playing the league leaders Hull FC in the Challenge Cup Final.
Both teams will be trying their very best to win on Saturday with a win for the Tigers being of the upmost importance if they are to give themselves a chance of making the top 4 when the Super 8’s have finished , a victory for Warrington would increase their chances of lifting the league leaders shield at the end of the Super 8’s. Castleford will need to improve on the number of defensive errors that they make if they are to beat the Wolves this week as they are a team that will easily capitalise on a teams mistakes.
