This weekend see’s Wayne Bennett’s England side take on the mighty New Zealand at the John Smith’s stadium in Huddersfield. Is the Australians side good enough to win the four nations and overcome the kiwis.
England will be looking to get off to the perfect start to the four nations as they face New Zealand. Wayne Bennett’s first game in charge saw England beat France 40-6 in Avignon last Saturday in a game that they were expected to win.
However there were notable mistakes that the England squad will have to improve on if they are to beat the kiwi’s. The first thing is their defence which in the game against France was not their best but I would say average , despite conceding first their defence managed to stay strong however against the kiwi’s it might not hold up against the likes of Isaac Luke and Shaun Johnson.
The players mentioned above could be England’s downfall and they will need to improve their defence massively if they are to stop these two “danger” men. However what we can take from England’s performance against the French is that despite conceding first they showed incredible determination to pull through and get the win.
Wayne Bennett announced his 19 man England squad this afternoon and is:
