Wigan Warriors have today revealed their 2017 home kit, as voted by the club’s fans.
Earlier this year fans were invited to vote on the new home kit from six designs that were created by the Club’s official technical partner, Erreà, with prototypes and photographs released of Warriors players modelling each design.
Season Ticket holders were asked to vote online for their favourite design, whilst there was also an option to vote in Warriors World with more than 2,000 doing so.
Fans were asked to put the shirts in order of preference and over 50% voted for the design modelled by Sam Powell, with thin white horizontal pinstripes positioned at increasing intervals, as their number one choice.
The kit was a clear favourite with the nearest design, the cherry and white chequered shirt modelled by Oliver Gildart, picking up 18% of the vote.
Following the vote, fans were also invited to help launch the shirt on social media with a series of unique images.
