Hull FC full-back Jamie Shaul has signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until the 2020 season.
Shaul aged 24 , helped the black and whites to a famous Challenge Cup win in 2016 scoring the game winning try. His amazing performances saw him picked for the Super League dream team with 5 other Hull FC players.
When asked about his contract extension he said the following: “I’m Buzzing to sign for a further two years with the club. I’ve supported Hull all my life so when I had the chance to sign a new contract I jumped at it.”
I like to think I went well last year, but I know I’ve got improvements in my game that I need to make if I’m make to make the England squad, which is my ultimate aim.
“As a club, we’ve signed well and they’re great additions to the squad. Hopefully they will help us kick on towards more silverware next season.
“I feel really good after being in pre-season and everyone’s bouncing at the moment. We all can’t wait for the new season.”
Hull FC head coach Lee Radford said: “We’re really pleased to secure the services of Jamie for another two years.
“For him it’s about going to that next level and there’s a space for him in the international team. What we have to do is match that consistency of his performances so he can push for international honours.
“It’s no secret that he came through the Reserves ranks, and for him now it’s about fulfilling his potential and taking it to the next level and hopefully winning more trophies with us.
“The players around him – Carlos Tuimavave, Jake Connor, Marc Sneyd and Danny Houghton are all at that the right age to build a strong spine to last for many years.”
Hopefully he is able to continue his amazing form in the 2017 season and lead Hull to even more success.
