Two of Yorkshires biggest teams will battle it out once again on the 26th of December as the Castleford Tigers take on Hull FC at the Mend A Hose Jungle.
The last time these two team met was in the 2016 Super 8’s with Castleford defeating the Challenge Cup holders 30-16 at the KCOM stadium. Ryan Hampshire scored two tries that night to guide the tigers to a famous win , however he has since moved to newly promoted Leigh.
Both teams will be missing players from last season the most controversial being Denny Solomona who has moved to Rugby Union side Sale Sharks. But both teams will be giving everything they have got with the Tigers having home advantage.
This will be the first pre-season match for both teams with Castleford facing Batley and St Helens in January whilst Hull will take on Doncaster.
Former Marine Jack Smith will be the referee in charge of the first ever Harrison-Bryan Trophy clash on Boxing Day at the Jungle. Smith has been a fan favourite with many rugby league fans because of his army backgrounds and what happened whilst he was in the military.
