With the League 1 season just a month away Canadian outfit Toronto Wolfpack will be looking to go unbeaten in 2017.
After watching their game against Hull FC , I have no doubts that the Wolfpack will take League 1 by storm and will go unbeaten with Super League quality players in their squad they should prove a challenge to all the League 1 sides.
Players to watch!!
Having spent ten years in the NRL MoiMoi has moved to the Toronto Wolfpack looking for a new path in his career. His experience in the NRL will lighten up the team and motivate them towards the championship. His strength and ability with the ball means that he can be unpredictable with what he does on the field. As seen against Hull in their pre season friendly he has the power and strength to get over the try line and can prove himself when it comes to goal scoring.
Another player with Super League experience Hall has played for Hull FC , Hull KR and Wakefield before moving to the Wolfpack , as their captain and a SL veteran he will be a brilliant leader as well as a centre for the Wolfpack. His time at Wakefield was short but a successful stint falling in love with the majority of fans. Hall has also proved himself as a try scorer as well as kicking plenty of goals. His kicking ability will be vital to Toronto’s success in 2017 as shown at Wakefield last season.
Who will be their challenges?
With this all star line up they are surely favourites for the League 1 title and for promotion to the Championship. However their nearest rivals would have to be Barrow who are currently 10/1 (Sky Bet) to win the league.
My prediction for the Wolfpack will be a first place coming ahead of Barrow by 4+ points and thus gaining promotion to the Championship. I also think they will reach quarter finals of the Challenge Cup also.
