April reared its ugly head for some whereas others, the round couldn’t have been a bigger relief as clubs across the Pennines finally got their 2017 season up and running.
Owing certain individuals for such a feat, we look at how made the short list for week seven and whether they were truly deserving and securing a place for Team of the Week.
Fullback – Jamie Shaul
Perhaps a controversial choice as his club threw away another huge advantage but Hull’s Jamie Shaul is starting to find his form once again.
Shaul helped Hull be competitive throughout, hence why they didn’t lose both points.
From finishing off a free play started by Jez Litten as well as carting up over 170 metres from 15 carries, Shaul did his fair share of graft throughout.
He edge out others such as Ashton Golding and Stefan Ratchford to the spot but it was close.
Perhaps the full-back will return to top form and become a contender for International selection but improvement is needed in his consistency to perform.
