The Betfred Super reached its overall halfway point in the first phase of another hectic Bank Holiday weekend.
Even though the warm temperatures befell the United Kingdom, such a weekend drastically similar to Easter has caused plenty of controversy but the action continues nonetheless.
Only another 13 players could stand out amongst the rest in a round in honour of those in the Manchester atrocity. Did players from your team make it?
Fullback – Gareth O’Brien
Returning to the full-back role is Salford’s ‘saviour’ Gareth O’Brien.
A fairly difficult choice as the latter just edged out Tom Makinson to re-claim the position but what swung it for O’Brien was his part in Salford’s annihilation of Catalan.
O’Brien not only scored one of his side’s nine tries but he assisted in a further two as Catalan simply had no answer to Super League’s surprise package in the Red Devils.
O’Brien also managed a couple of tackle busts and clean breaks to help Salford remain dominant.
Another superb display from the full-back as he and Salford continue their quest to their greatest ever Super League season.
