Widnes keen on Dragons winger
Widnes want St George Illawarra Dragons winger Kalifa Faifai Loa for the 2018 season, according to the League Express.
The 27-year old former New Zealand and Samoa international has never really found his feet in the NRL and only made 65 career appearances over the last seven years, having spells with North Queensland and Gold Coast Titans also.
He is out of contract at the end of the season and the Vikings are in poll position to snap him up.
Toronto lining up NRL half-back for 2018
St George Illawarra half-back Josh McCrone is close to joining the Toronto Wolfpack, according to TotalRL.
The 30-year old would be another huge addition to the Canadian side’s squad. His partnership with Gareth Widdop this season has helped the Dragons to their current 4th placed spot in the NRL.
Hull KR still in for NRL bad boy Paul Carter?
Hull KR boss is said to be keen on bringing in NRL hooker Paul Carter to bolster their squad ahead of the Middle 8s.
Carter was recently released by the Syndey Roosters with immediate effect, and has been previously sacked by the South Sydney Rabbitos and the Gold Coast Titans for alcohol related issues.
Rumour has it that Carter has checked into a rehab facility in Thailand, but Hull KR are said to be willing to take a gamble on the loose-forward.
