An eye on Wembley for some whereas others are staring at the prize of Old Trafford is the prominent reason for this week’s selection.
That and the tenacity to record rugby league history and thanks to it, check out the 13 players below who flourished this weekend!
Fullback – Zak Hardaker
If you can rely on anyone for consistent top performance, it has to be former Man of Steel Zak Hardaker.
Arguably Castleford’s best signing, Hardaker enjoyed his second League Leaders Shield in three season as he helped the Tigers dismantle arch-rivals Wakefield.
The 25-year-old secured a brace of tries, even providing an assist, managing two tackle busts and 94 metres from 14 carries in a superb all round personal contribution.
He was prominent in helping the Tigers not only to a win but a famous one as they recorded their first ever League Leaders position in 91 years!
