Quite the abnormality but for fun, we thought we’d introduce a combined team for tonight’s Super 8s fixture between old enemies Leeds Rhinos and Hull FC.
Be ready to agree or disagree as below, based overall form this season as well as general experience but also the squads for the game, are the stand out players for either club, find out who would be the ideal team between them!
Fullback – Jamie Shaul
A fairly straightforward choice, with respect, as Hull’s speedster Jamie Shaul is chosen at full-back.
Firstly, Leeds can’t seem to make their mind up for a consistent full-back, whereas Shaul has been a consistent performer for the Airlie Birds all season.
With 19 tries to his name in all competitions, this man has been an unsung hero for FC, especially after having a shaky start to 2017.
But since, he has bounced back in considerable style, recording personal stats such as 2669 metres made and 99 tackle busts that has helped put him in International contention.
So yes, with ease, Shaul would be full-back from either club; his support play, speed, attacking prowess and even strong defending is sensational, arguably a player most, if not all, Super League clubs would love to possess!
