Yes, week four of the Super 8s certainly had its fair share of the good, the bad and the ugly in the four matches as some clubs attained valuable wins, some that were rather untidy whereas others were marred by controversy.
Regardless, the players can only produce their best and only another 13 players stood out enough to earn a spot in the Team of the Week, find out if any from your club made the cut?!
Fullback – Jamie Shaul
One on the losing side may surprise some, even more so as his opposite number received the official Man of the Match award but Hull’s Jamie Shaul lines up at full-back.
Now Jack Walker performed well but he owed his defensive work to that, whereas Shaul was flamboyant in attack and kept Hull dangerous throughout, even though they exited the Wembley stage just five days prior.
Shaul managed over 150 metres from 17 carries so he was clearly a consistent workhorse for the Airlie Birds.
However, adding seven tackle busts and two clean breaks to that really saw him in some good form and arguably proving his is a key figure for Hull in the run-in, should they wish to avoid last year’s fate.
