The Betfred Super League Super 8s came to a close in considerable style as the nerve-wrecking final week ultimately identified its top four sides.
The scheduling faced some criticism as some games were ultimately rendered meaningless after initially being billed as titanic tussles!
But otherwise, they have the players to thank for such results and below is the final edition of Super League’s Team of the Week!
Fullback – Jamie Shaul
Returning to fullback is International contender in Jamie Shaul.
The Airlie Bird enjoyed another strong performance as he and Hull overcame a weakened Castleford side at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle to secure a semi-final spot.
The 25-year-old managed a brace of tries, both of which were rather bizarre yet skilful, as well as providing an assist for another.
Adding to that, he was dangerous all evening with his running, managing 11 tackle busts as well as over 150 metres from 14 carries.
He’ll no doubt prove a danger next week against Leeds and who knows, may be the difference to help Hull go one better than last year and bag a place to Old Trafford.
