The Super League approaches, with pre-season preparations in full swing.
Everybody is talking about who will stand out amongst others, whether there be any surprise packages or anti-climaxes in the new season.
Below are the listed top five full-backs to focus on heading into the new campaign.
Based on previous form, capability and of course, no off-field issues, let’s see who the top five are to watch out for in 2018!
5: Jake Mamo
Huddersfield’s Jake Mamo is ranked at five and with good reason.
In his spell of playing, Mamo displayed some excellent skills that ultimately helped the Giants avoid a successive run in the Super 8s Qualifiers.
His highlight has to be his four tries in the emphatic 56-12 away win against the Catalan Dragons which rocked the entire rugby league world.
Despite only making nine appearances, his 12 tries were also a small demonstration of what this guy is capable of.
His kicking game and support play was sublime and probably is when featuring regularly, which is what can be expected from a reliable full-back.
Perhaps with more game time, this guy can go much better but it is purely down to this is why he is ranked fifth but don’t despair, give it time and who knows what he may produce.
